White iPhone 4 will hit the retail today, April 28, in more than 25 countries around the world including US, UK, and Canada. The device will be available on both AT&T and Verizon networks and will cost the same as the existing black one. One thing that may be on mind of iPhone buyers is will they be able to immediately jailbreak the device after bringing it home.
Well, the answer is yes. Chronic, the iPhone hacker, has tweeted that white iPhone 4 is still vulnerable to geohot’s Limera1n exploit. This is the same vulnerability that is used in iOS 4.3.2 untethered jailbreak along with i0n1c’s untethered exploit.
If white iPhone 4 were to be sold on iOS 4.3.2, then you can immediately jailbreak it as soon as you lay your hands on it. Otherwise, we may have to wait for the iPhone Dev Team to release an updated version of their Redsn0w or PwnageTool.
